Giulia Faria

Giulia Faria is a Queens, New York native. She received her early training at the New York Theatre Ballet School and attended LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts for dance. In 2015, she joined New York Theatre Ballet (NYTB) as an apprentice, performing in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and The Alice-in-Wonderland Follies. In 2017, she joined the New York Dance Project under Nicole Duffy and Davis Robertson and rejoined NYTB as a company member in 2018.

Giulia has performed works by Richard Alston, Frederick Ashton, Merce Cunningham, Gabrielle Lamb, José Limón, Jerome Robbins, Pam Tanowitz, and Antony Tudor, among others. Her repertoire includes title roles in Cinderella and The Firebird. Outside of NYTB, she has freelanced with choreographers Liz Gerring and Amanda Treiber. In Fall 2025, Giulia was appointed Interim Artistic Director of New York Theatre Ballet.
