Kristina Shaw

Kristina Shaw was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Her training started at the age of six with Dance for Joy ballet school, under the direction of Iris Cloud. Kristina is a former student of Diana Byer’s New York Theater Ballet School, where she was a recipient of the Margaret Craske Award. She was later an apprentice with New York Theatre Ballet. Kristina earned her BFA from The Hartt school in Ballet Pedagogy, under the direction of Stephen Pier, where she was awarded the Most Outstanding Senior Award. She has trained with Nina Watt, Hilda Morales, Miki Orihara, and Stephen Pier, faculty of the Hartt School. She has danced work by choreographers Hope Boykin, Jacqulyn Buglisi, Merce Cunningham, Norbert De La Cruz III, and José Límon.
