Stephen Campanella danced a variety of professional soloist, principal, and character roles with American Repertory Ballet, New York Theatre Ballet, and Dances Patrelle after receiving his training at his training at Princeton Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet School, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s graduate program. His performance repertory includes works by Arpino, Ashton, Fokine, Ivanov, Limón, de Mille, Petipa, St. Leon, and Tudor, as well as by modern day choreographers including Gemma Bond, Patrick Corbin, Marla Hirokawa, Philip Jerry, Graham Lustig, Steven Melendez, Francis Patrelle, and Pam Tanowitz. He is experienced in teaching all levels of ballet, as well as character dance, and pantomime at such schools as Bay Ridge Ballet, The Dance Conservatory in Westchester, and Covenant Ballet. Mr. Campanella also works as a teaching artist for American Ballet Theatre’s educational engagement programs.
Mr. Campanella is fully certified in the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum in Pre-Primary through Level 7 and Partnering. He is a registered Benesh Choreologist, having completed the program with distinction, a summa cum laude graduate of Rutgers College with a B.A. in history, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. < Back to DEBUT collaborators |
